Pandit
Shaiva tradition, Krishna Yajurveda, Taittiriya shakha; Shaiva Agama practice. He has practised in Ujjain for 22 years.
The person
He trained at a pathashala in Ujjain and has served as a visiting ritvik at Mahakaleshwar for many years, which means his day begins well before the Bhasma Aarti. Rudrabhishek is his ordinary daily work, and he also conducts Maha Mrityunjaya and Shani Shanti havans for families who have been advised these by their own jyotishi. Gujarati families in Ahmedabad and Dubai book him regularly; he speaks Gujarati through the sankalp so that the elders in the room are never left guessing at what is being said. When a family asks him whether a ritual will change an outcome, he tells them plainly that it is a tradition to be kept, not a transaction.
Where he stands
The school a pandit belongs to and the shakha he was trained in decide the order of the vidhi and the sound of the recitation. Both are stated rather than assumed.
Sampradaya
Shaiva
Worship centred on Shiva. The Rudram and Chamakam and the abhisheka sequences are the core of the recitation, which is why Rudrabhishek and the Maha Mrityunjaya rites are usually taken to a Shaiva purohit.
Lineage
Krishna Yajurveda, Taittiriya shakha; Shaiva Agama practice
This lineage is as he states it. We have not yet confirmed it independently, so it carries no lineage mark — what has been checked is set out under Verification.
Verification
Each check below was carried out by our team against a document or a person who could confirm it. A check is dated because a check from three years ago is a different claim from one made last month.
Aadhaar and PAN were checked against his bank account name, and a live video selfie was matched to both documents by our onboarding team.
4 Dec 2025
The Mahakaleshwar temple committee confirmed his standing entry on the visiting-ritvik roster for abhishek slots; the dated roster page was photographed by our field team.
11 Dec 2025
He recited the Rudram, Chamakam and the Maha Mrityunjaya homa sequence before a two-member panel, which assessed svara and the correct sequencing of the abhishek dravyas.
13 Jan 2026
A pre-dawn rehearsal stream was reviewed for low-light exposure on the lingam, audio isolation from the surrounding crowd, and a 5 Mbps uplink held for seventy minutes.
20 Feb 2026
Police verification from Ujjain district dated 2 May 2026, along with references from a Rajkot family and an Ahmedabad family he has served since 2014.

Expertise
Specialities are the families of rite he has trained and practised in, not everything the catalogue offers.
Languages
The mantras themselves are recited in Sanskrit whoever performs them. What the list above changes is the language the sankalp is taken in, and the language the rite is explained in as it proceeds — which is the part a family follows.
Rites
Each one states its vidhi, its samagri and what differs between tiers before you commit to anything.
Shiva
रुद्राभिषेक
A continuous pouring over the Shiva linga — water, milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar and more, in fixed order — while the Sri Rudram is chanted.
Shani
शनैश्चरशान्तिहोम
A fire rite addressed to Shani, traditionally observed during Sade Sati and Shani dasha. Its themes are patience, honest work and long-term restructuring.
Navagraha
नवग्रह शान्ति हवन
A nine-square vedi is laid in coloured grain, each graha is invoked in its own place, and the ahuti are offered with the nine prescribed woods — arka for Surya through kusha for Ketu.
Shiva
महामृत्युञ्जय होम
The Tryambakam mantra of the Rigveda, offered into fire with a declared count. Families keep it during illness, convalescence and long strain.
Hanuman
कुजदोषशान्ति
The traditional observance kept when Mars occupies one of the bhavas that the matching texts mark. Its themes are patience with others, and the steadying of a strong temperament.
Shiva
कालसर्पदोषनिवारणम्
The observance kept when every graha falls on one side of the Rahu and Ketu axis. Nag puja, Rudrabhishek and the Sarpa Sukta are its three parts.

We sponsored the abhishek on a Monday in Shravan. Panditji did the sankalp in Gujarati with our names and gotra, which my mother-in-law heard clearly and repeated back. The stream started at 4:20 as promised and the camera stayed on the lingam throughout. Prasad reached Dubai in six days.

Our family jyotishi had suggested this. Panditji asked to see the kundli notes first and told us honestly that the havan is a traditional observance and he would not promise anything beyond performing it correctly. That is why we booked him. Three and a half hours, done properly.

Booked for my father-in-law's eightieth birthday. He came with two assistants and the ahutis were counted aloud so the whole family could follow. He also asked beforehand whether anyone in the house had breathing trouble, and set the kund near the window because of that.

The vidhi was done thoroughly and he explained the classification calmly, which mattered because my wife had been worried by things she had read. The certificate came through the next day. Scheduling took two attempts because his early slots fill up fast.

Rites performed on your behalf in India are done at Mahakaleshwar Temple, Ujjain, Ujjain. A Jyotirlinga in the old quarter of Ujjain, above the Rudra Sagar lake. Ujjain was Avanti, a seat of astronomy and Sanskrit learning, and is one of the four cities of the Simhastha Kumbh; Kalidasa writes of the shrine in the Meghaduta. The present temple dates from the eighteenth century, rebuilt under Ranoji Shinde. Its best-known observance is the Bhasma Aarti in the last hours before dawn, for which the sanctum opens earlier than almost any temple in the country.
