Every profile states the sampradaya, the veda-shakha lineage a pandit stands in, the rites he is qualified for and the languages he recites and explains in.
The marks on each card are checks that were carried out, not decoration. Open one and it says what was examined and on what date — identity against a bank account, lineage with a pathashala, recitation before a review panel.
